Dave's older brother was in town from Colorado and so all the siblings got together. Everyone met at the BYU Art museum for the Carl Bloch exhibit.
It was so amazing. I had no idea of his story and that the church has used so many pieces of his work.
The kids enjoyed it, however... I am going to go back by myself and rent ($3) the ipad they have and really enjoy it some more.
Sunday we headed up to my brother's for dinner. We as a "Jeffries" family have a challenge to read the BofM in 6months, so after dinner Mark did a great lesson on what we have read so far. It was so wonderful sitting around talking about the gospel. I realized more how much I treasure it, and love that I have an amazing family that shares it with me.
Monday the kids didn't have school so we had a sleep over at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. It is our home away from home. We love spending time there.
Growing up with my Dad in the car business we went to the Utah Car show every year.
So keeping with tradition, we headed there to check out the newest hot cars.
I remember the minute we would get there, my brother's and I would head out to gather our bags and brochures and to sit in as many cars as we could. We would just run around by ourselves. Meeting up with Mom and Dad back at Buick by a certain time. Maybe running into them every once in awhile.
Colton and Morgan were so excited. This year, they were old enough to just run around. The only difference, they got walkie talkies. (I know a few of you were thinking they had their own cell phones. Nope, not that kinda Mom)
I don't remember really noticing how expensive cars were, and maybe it is just because I am older and wiser now. But holy cow.
Of course walking away my Dad always asked what our favorite was. But now with a family and hopefully sometime in the future getting a second car it was, what would you pick. I told him they didn't have what I could afford. For some reason they decided not to have the newest models of Ford Pinto's. :)
2011 Volkswagen RoutanThe all around favorite pick. The practical family van
2011 Ford FlexOhhh baby, the fun and sassy cruiser, but practical too.
And the dream, this would need to come with a lifetime gas card. The only draw back.

2011 Toyota Sequioa
