I am kidding, but not really. I had to make an emergency trip to Target today.
The streets are empty, the neighborhood is quiet and my sweet Colton is getting to the BORED state. With the heat, nobody wants to play outside. And all his friends want to play is XBOX, Playstation or whatever game thingy they have or play on the computer. So if he isn't at a friends playing their electronics he is asking me to play the Wii or the computer. ARGHH! Now I am not saying that is bad, but come on, let's play! I try to limit the amount of brain frying activities. Poor kid! Soooo, I was on a mission and guess what I found? Do you remember the old Lincoln Logs? Yup, they are so dang cute. I learn something new everyday!
So, I stocked up on Lego's, and Lincoln Logs. Anybody want to come play?

Ok, I totally know what you are talking about. All my kids want to do is play Computer or watch TV. I'm going nuts. Sometimes Jon takes a break to play with Spencer, but mostly I am trying to rack my brain for something else. When Summer is over we can complain again about how we miss the freedom to do whatever we want! Love you guys!
The pool has been a lifesaver, but we're also getting close to summer burn out. Football starts on mon though, so I'm sure I'll be missing the "lazy days" soon enough!!!
We have been at the pool way too much too, which is obvious by my unnaturally dark skin. I love building things with my kids and I would totally come over and play, but I don't think a 2 and 4 year old are quite the company your son is looking for ;)
Jackie, I'm so with you on trying to limit the brain frying activities. Lucky for us my kids haven't discovered video games (although they do like pbskids.org). I'm wondering about the length of Summer too and living in humidity. Are you guys in TN to stay?
