County Fair

Last night we headed to the Williamson County Fair. They had some fun things for the kids. Colton loved watching the BMW trick show, while Morgan was learning about bee's and their hives. They even had Hog Racing. Those pigs may be stinky, but they are sure cute. There was the typical petting zoo with goats, camel's and even kangaroo's. They were all a little to close for comfort for Chase. He didn't want anything to do with them.

They had a really fun kids farm where the kids walked around through the process of a farm. From planting, to harvesting, to milking a cow. At the end they took all their produce, eggs and milk to a farmer's market and got paid for their goods. They took their money and got to go to the store and buy an ice cream sandwich. They loved it, although Chase couldn't keep anything in his basket, they still paid him and he got his ice cream sandwich.

To top off the night, we searched high and low for our funnel cake. What is a county fair without having a little funnel cake. And then to end it all we watched the fireworks.

We all had fun. It was a great end of summer night!

Morgan had a blast! She told us all about it today. I think the pig racing was a bit hit for her :) She told us about ten times that she wants to go back!

Looks like fun! We didn't brave it this year--maybe next!
