I put it off for as long as I could, and Dave finally got the scissors out and did it. Chase got his first haircut. He did really well, being tied down to the chair and with a few Otterpops. Dave was sweet and saved the little curl for me. I think he instantly aged a couple of years, but ohh he looks like such a big boy.
All his curls before the cut
He was such a good boy, sitting enjoying his otter pops...
Then the scissors came out. He wasn't too sure about that.
And the end result. An opps turned into a high bowl cut.

That first cut is the WORST! I still regret cutting little Lukie's curls off...but it had to happen eventually. Hope you are all doing well! We need to get together soon...The IKEA in Cincinnati is not too far from ya! :>
This is the kind of thing that makes me laugh. My kids are always like 3 before they need a first cut, Dayton included! I love that Dave did it and the 'oopps' always makes for the best pics/stories later!
Happy-almost-Halloween!
poor baby cha cha. His little mullet is gone. sad. I remember when Heather made me cut Truman's mullet!! ahh good times.
Look at those curls! That would be so hard for me to cut off too! You are brave folks. He is such a cutie-growing up so fast!
OMG, I thought he looked a little different on Sunday! What a big boy.
What a cute little man! Sierra still hasn'g had her first haircut, guess that's a plus side to having girls!
