Happy Halloween

One of the best things about Halloween is that my birthday is the day before.  What made it the best is that I had my Mom & Dad here in Tennessee to share it with me.

We had a great time showing them some more sights of downtown and having fun just hanging out.  The kids love having Grandma & Grandpa here.  We are sad to see them go in the morning.

Then there's Halloween...

Its a little different in the schools here because of no dressing up or parades.  So the kids ran in the door and were ready to get in costumes and start their trick or treating.

We had the Howell's over for the traditional soup to warm our tummies and then hit the neighborhood.  It was exactly how I remembered it as a kid.  The neighborhood was packed with little kids zig zagging from house to house.  It was fun, and the kids got loads of candy.

Chase caught on so quick.  He would knock on the door and say T T, and wait to pick his candy out and put it in his bag. Unless it was a sucker, then he would just eat it right through the wrapper.

Dave and I joined in the "sports" theme and were the supportive parents in our respective team sweatshirts.  Our friends Chelsea and James were the scary ones as the headless horseman, and the witch with the poison apple.

With the kids crashed and sound asleep... it's time to raid the candy!
