Christmas Time

We had a great Christmas with family this year. My Mom did a great dinner on Christmas Eve and had lots of fun things for the kids.
I have been thinking a lot lately about our family, and am so grateful for the people in my life.

My family is a little out of the norm, where Dave's is the Leave it to Beaver sorta family.
My Mom and Dad have been married for over 25 years now, and I cherish the new traditions and fun times I have had with my family. When ever we are together there is always at least 5 people in the kitchen. I am sure it drives my Mom a little crazy, but taking this picture made me realize that we just all love to be in there helping her out.

As we were sitting around talking, my Mom had read a quote from President Monson about filling our lives with so many things, that we should take a look and see where we fit Christ into our lives.
So, we came up with a challenge. To read the Book of Mormon as a family. We are all pretty excited. We are going to get it done in 6months, and those that finish get to go to Lagoon. Which I don't think we have been there as a family for umm about 25 years. We are even going to do one of the old time photos again.

What a great way to end a great holiday season. And an even better way to start a new year.
