I know how clique it sounds to say that "I can't believe how fast Colton has grown up," but really I can't believe how fast the last 12 years has gone.
I remember the day like it was yesterday. He was such a wonderful Christmas present and is such a blessing to our lives.
He is now taller than I am, and still growing. He still has all the little freckles across his nose, and still has that playful personality.
Yesterday as his Dad and Uncle's gathered around him to bless him with the power of the Priesthood, I couldn't hold back my tears. I remembered crying when they gave him his first shots at the Dr's, and then only a few years later when I dropped him off for preschool that first day. He is becoming an amazing young man, and I don't think I am ready for him to grow up.
At times he shows that independence of a teenager, and I hope that he makes it through alive. It was funny last week at the dentist, the Dr. was checking his teeth and told him "dude, you still have 2 baby teeth to loose. I guess you are still a baby" I laughed out loud and thanked the Dr. Colton in turn informed us both that he would be working on them.
Happy Birthday Colt! We love you!
