Morgan turns 10

March 5th 2001 8:45am 7lbs 5oz and 21inches long. It seems like forever ago, but I remember every detail like it was yesterday. I couldn't sleep, and had sent Dave to bed with the promise to wake him up when I was ready to go. I laid out on the couch waiting, channel surfing through the pain. I couldn't decide if they were real contractions or pain from the castor oil I had taken. See it was the night before my due date and I thought for sure I would deliver early. I had come 4 days early with Colton, and so why not with this little girl. Finally after a painful 3 hours I decided to go to the hospital. Waking Dave up and rushing to hospital, I walked into Cottonwood hospital and was checked in at about 2 am. Getting settled in and being checking by the nurse we discovered I was already at a 7. Wow, I guess they were real contractions then. Things were progressing quickly. I had my epidural, and sucking back on Popsicles when Dr. Roth was called because they were moving really quick. He got there just in time to put his hand out and catch our little girl. What an amazing moment. I wouldn't change it for anything.
And so 10 years later, that amazing little baby girl is growing up. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. She is happy, healthy and such a blast to be with. I have said so many times that she is my most favorite person in the world. I love her personality. Everybody loves her. People love to be around her, and she has such a caring heart. She is a loving sister and a great friend. She has so many wonderful talents and I can't wait to see her develop even more.
We had a great day. We started with crepes for breakfast, then headed off for a surprise visit to the pet store to pick up Gus Gus (the guinea pig). And then to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa. We picked up her cute friend to tag along with us to her first clogging competition where she won 2nd place. We got back home and had her favorite dinner, spaghetti. After dinner, I had a few other friends surprise her for cake and ice cream. She was totally surprised!
The best part is that Morgan was happy, she was surrounded by everything she loves. Family, friends, and a new pet.

* Morgan's clogging: She is on the second row, you have to watch the first row first. Then she comes up in the gray top. I am sure you can pick her out. **Remember to pause our music before you watch the video.
