A long day...

And it is still going, however I am feeling so blessed.
We started today at 4:45 getting ready and making our way to the hospital.
Shortly after checking Cha in, he was called back and the process began.
Blood pressure taken, new jammies put on, and a little versed.

Mr. Light weight will be a title he will have for a long time. He was looped after 10mins. Those bubble's on Dad's phone were "makin dancin dinosaur's" He couldn't get the words out quit right.

He got a wagon ride to the OR and after hugs and kisses... mine being "too soft" and Daddy's being a "mommy and daddy kiss" he fell fast asleep before even getting to the room for his rootbeer smelling stuff.

After 4hours, he was all fixed up. Everything went perfectly. He was only on bypass for 36mins. His breathing tube was pulled before leaving the OR. All was well.

When we walked in the CICU, I was pleasantly surprised at how well he looked. He wasn't all there, but doing so good. Coming in and out most of the afternoon, he mostly asked for apple juice, Colton, Morgan and he needed his Mom to take him home.

He woke up a few different times throughout the day and was alert and so polite and cute with the nurse. Of course we (meaning Dave) had all of his nursing staff laughing. We have been so lucky to have so many wonderful people helping make this experience better.

It is now 10:30pm and I am watching him sleep peacefully. After a few bumps in the road today, we are doing good. I am amazed at this sweet little boy. His brave attitude and willingness to do and endure. I know that the week is just beginning, but it can only get better. I am grateful that Colton and Morgan are safe and sound with Grandma and Grandpa, that we have so many people rooting for us and loving our little Cha.

"My life has been blessed with sweet little spirits, and as I watch these little spirits grow in righteousness there will be some trials, but the joys will far exceed those little trials."

I am glad everything is going well. There is something special/spiritual about Primary Children Hospital - definitely angels there in that hospital.
