First pickin's

I am so excited about our garden this year. I know its kind-of dorky, but I am out there first thing in the morning and I am out there just before the mosquito's start biting. I am so amazed at how well it is growing and how fast. We picked our first zucchini, 3 bright red tomatoes and some peas. Which I eat the peas right there on the spot, we had BLT's with our tomatoes and then zucchini drenched in butter and Parmesan for dinner yesterday. It is all so good.

We have an abundance of zucchini (8 plants) so you may see me walking the streets passing out zucchini. The kids are good troopers and help us keep the weeds pulled in the pumpkin/zucchini/cucumber patch.

This is our first butternut squash

Along our driveway we have a strip of dirt. I decided that I wanted to plant some wild flowers and sunflowers. Now, the sunflowers that I picked were supposed to be dwarf sunflowers. They are little flowers but have grown to well over 8ft tall, so they are some big dwarfs.

This is our first little flower.
